Growee’s latest features: Making workflows smoother and more efficient

At Growee, we’re always looking for ways to make your work experience more efficient and seamless. This past period, we’ve introduced several new features designed to simplify leave management, enhance internal communication, optimize project planning, and provide a more personalized user experience.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new!

1. Easier Leave Management with the Balances Feature

Managing employee leave can be a challenge, especially when tracking available days across different policies. That’s why we introduced Balances, an extension to our Holidays feature, making it easier than ever for admins to monitor leave days.

What’s new?

  • View each employee’s starting balance, based on their contract type and start date.
  • Track real-time updates—when an employee takes leave, their balance automatically adjusts.
  • Manually edit balances if needed, such as adjusting extra leave days for specific cases.
  • Access leave balances from previous years to track days that carry over.

This feature ensures complete transparency and accuracy in leave tracking, helping HR and managers maintain clear records without additional paperwork.


2. Keep everyone in the loop with Company News

Internal communication plays a huge role in team alignment, and we’ve made it easier with our new Company News feature.

Now, Admins and Managers can create and share important updates directly in the Company News section on the dashboard. Instead of relying on Slack or emails, you can centralize updates where your team already works.

How it works:

  • Create posts with titles, descriptions, and optional images or emojis.
  • Save posts as drafts and publish them when ready.
  • Mark important updates as Featured, keeping them pinned at the top of the dashboard for better visibility.
  • Edit or delete posts anytime to keep information relevant.

Whether it’s a company-wide announcement, a policy update, or a holiday greeting, this feature ensures everyone stays informed in the most efficient way possible.


3. Smarter resource planning with the Capacity Report

Planning workloads effectively is essential for productivity, and our new Capacity Report helps managers and project owners do just that.

This report gives a real-time overview of your team’s availability, taking into account national holidays, approved leave, and individual allocations.

Why it’s useful:

  • View the total working days and hours available for each team member.
  • Identify capacity bottlenecks before they become issues.
  • Adjust workload planning based on real-time availability.
  • Check future availability without relying on past logged hours.

For example, if Cristi has 120 available hours in January after accounting for leave and public holidays, you can easily plan project tasks without overloading him.

For project-specific planning, the report also allows you to view team capacity per project, making it an invaluable tool for project managers aiming for efficiency and balance.


4. Customize your experience with Company Modules

We understand that not all companies use the same features, so we’ve introduced Company Modules, allowing you to tailor the left-side menu to match your team’s needs.

What can you do?

  • Enable or disable specific modules to keep your dashboard clean and relevant.
  • Remove unnecessary features to create a more intuitive workspace.
  • Some modules are interdependent (e.g., Projects can’t be disabled if Time Tracking or Invoicing is enabled).

For example, if your company doesn’t use the Expenses module, simply disable it, click Update, and it disappears from the menu—simple and efficient!
